What JD Delivered

JD serves as the signage consultant for XYZ Storage, a storage company in the Toronto area. Every location involves very large upper-level signage, which requires variances, so JD drives the variance processes forward to secure the best possible outcome and the most signage allowances the city will grant. JD then coordinates with XYZ’s GC, Maple Riders. JD has also developed cool, creative concepts for the brand, including an illuminated logo that sits in a stairwell six or eight feet back from the glass, so the signage reads from a far distance without breaking the rules the city allows for signage on the exterior of the building.

Rollout Scope

Multiple storage locations across the Toronto area, coordinated with XYZ’s GC, Maple Riders. JD and Maple Riders now know each other well enough to copy and paste the process from one location to the next.

Challenge Solved

Every XYZ Storage location involves very large upper-level signage, which requires variances. JD acts as the consultant who drives those variance processes forward to win the best possible outcome and the most signage allowances the city will grant, then maximizes visibility within the limits. One example is an illuminated logo set six or eight feet back from a stairwell’s glass, so the signage carries from a far distance without breaking the rules the city allows for exterior signage.

Outcome / Result

XYZ Storage leans on JD for their signage. After enough completed locations, JD and the GC, Maple Riders, know each other well enough to copy and paste the process from one location to the next.
